Artificial Intelligence is a buzz word in the media today. While many questions are highly speculative, e.g. if we end up with a “singularity” or a super-intelligence, I am investigating issues of artificial morality that are relevant today. Algorithms are already in place to assist humans or file decisions themselves. However, I see a need to conduct research on the ability of machines to act in an ethically responsible way. The scale on which these systems are implemented urges for an attentive evaluation of their design.
